NEREUS aims to develop/offer educational material to final year Bachelor and 1st year MSc students in the form of 5 courses and test/evaluate them through short learning/training programmes (intensive courses of one week duration each), which will be summarized in a whole module of 10 ECTS. Each course will undergo quality evaluation processes by all participants during the corresponding intensive course (feedback will be used for fine tuning the educational material) , while the final module will be submitted for recognition and accreditation to the relevant HEI’s bodies, as well as to the national Quality Assurance & Accreditation Agencies, at the closure phase. Upon successful completion of each intensive course, students will be accredited the corresponding ECTS in their Diploma Supplement. Overall, NEREUS aims to have more than 200 student attendees from the participating institutions, and those who will successfully participate will be handed the NEREUS Certificate of Attendance, where all their achievements will be complementary mentioned, similarly to a Diploma Supplement.

NEREUS anticipates that more than 200 students will participate in the Spring/Autumn intensive courses and the Multiplier Event, during the project’s lifetime. All participants (students, technicians, lecturers, stakeholders external advisory board, etc.) will provide feedback on the process, results and quality of every intensive program, which will be taken into account before implementing the subsequent intensive courses. For this reason, a Quality Assessment Questionnaire will be developed for NEREUS, taking into account existing ones provided by the Quality Assurance Boards in all participating institutions. After each intensive course the answers will be processed and analysed, and the results will be utilised taken into account for making the necessary corrections, additions and/or adjustments for the successful implementation of the project. This process constitutes a major step towards an improved organization and better methodology of teaching than those we experienced in past programmes.
The developed educational material will be processed and prepared so that to constitute a concrete module, which will be included in the curriculum of the corresponding departments of all NEREUS institutions. After the implementation and final evaluation, the NEREUS educational material (Intellectual outputs O1-O7) will be available through an e-platform (for example, the “eclass” platform used by the Greek universities), and will be delivered to other European HEI’s collaborating with NEREUS partners under the ERASMUS umbrella.
